Who we are
This site is run by Samuel Harrison Racing Ltd (“we”, “us”), which is the controller of the personal information described here.
Questions about this notice, or any request about your information, go to support@samuelharrisonracing.com.
What we collect, and why
- Enquiries
- When you use a contact, coaching or partnership form: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell us — phone number, car, experience, company, message. We use it only to reply and to discuss what you asked about. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and taking steps you have asked for before entering a contract.
- Coaching clients
- If you are a coaching client, the portal holds your account details (name, email, phone), the profile and questionnaire answers you give (car, series, experience, goals), your bookings, the messages between you and your coach, the data and video files you or your coach upload — lap telemetry and in-car footage — and the notes, feedback and actions written about your driving. We use it to provide the coaching you signed up for. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Emails
- We send account emails (invitations, password resets, notices that your details changed) and booking and message notifications. These are part of the service and are not marketing.
- Security logs
- Like every website, our hosting records technical details of requests — IP address, browser, the page asked for — to keep the site running and to detect and stop attacks. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site and your data secure.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you.
Who else sees it
We use the following service providers to run the site. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.
- Supabase
- Database, sign-in and file storage for the coaching portal.
- Vercel
- Hosting — every page and form passes through it.
- Backblaze B2 / Microsoft OneDrive
- Storage for session video footage.
- Google (Gmail) / Resend
- Delivery of the emails the site sends.
- Esri, jsDelivr, unpkg
- Map imagery and globe data on the calendar page and the telemetry view are loaded by your browser directly from these services, which therefore receive your IP address.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
Outside the UK
Some of these providers store or access data outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area and the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations (for example for the EEA, or the UK–US data bridge for certified companies) or by the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries
- As long as it takes to deal with the enquiry, then deleted unless you become a client.
- Client records
- For as long as you are a client. When coaching ends your account is closed to sign-in but kept, so your history is there if you come back — ask and we will delete it instead.
Keeping it safe
Everything is sent over encrypted connections. Portal files are kept in private storage and reached only through time-limited links issued to the account they belong to, and the database only lets each client see their own records.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to how we use it, or send it to you or someone else in a portable format. Email support@samuelharrisonracing.com; we will answer within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113 — though we would like the chance to put it right first.
Changes
When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects how we use information we already hold about you, we will tell you directly.
